Dial-A-Spy
The cast of Lunch Break.
MARCH 28, 2003

We have completed another sleepless weekend film for another weekend filmmaking competition; this time it was the 48 Hour Film Project. Our new film is called Lunch Break. Check it out at the official Lunch Break web site! Also, if you're in the Philadelphia area, be sure to come see Lunch Break on the big screen, along with 9 other 48 hour films, at 7:15 PM at the Prince Music Theater on Monday, March 29th. We'll be there, so come out and say hello!

The result of BREDSTIK Entertainment’s participation in the National Film Challenge this past weekend is called Dial-A-Spy. Check out all the details and watch the film at the official Dial-A-Spy web site!

No, there's not any new content on the BREDSTIK site, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy. Our own Pete Dalkner, Matt Sutter, and Jeff Bandelin contributed their character design and animation skills to "VH1 ILL-ustrated," an animated sketch comedy show produced by Camp Chaos. The first three episodes premiere on Friday, October 17, and will likely be re-run ad nauseum. Click here for showtimes.

Meanwhile, on that same night, the BREDSTIK team will begin its adventure in the National Film Challenge, which works like this: at 7:00 PM, we will receive an e-mail with a randomly-generated genre and list of elements (a prop, a line of dialogue, and a character). We then have until 12:00 noon on the following Monday (a total of 65 hours) to create a short film (between 4 and 8 minutes long) in the assigned genre, using all of the specified elements. Of course, the results will be posted on the site for your approval. Wish us luck!

FEBRUARY 5, 2003

You thought we were dead, didn't you? Or abducted by a carnival? Assimilated by a mysterious, otherworldly organism? Or maybe you just didn't notice how quiet it's been around here. Well, the truth behind the year between updates is simply that we're just very lazy. And to lazy people such as ourselves, updating this site is an ominous and daunting task, particularly given the hugeness of this latest update.

So this is the final update of this first version of the BREDSTIK Entertainment site. We simply refuse to continue putting up with the hassles we've made for ourselves. The solution? A hassle-free bredstik.com version 2.0.

This newest and strongest motivation toward redesign is born of the need to update regularly and still maintain a modicum of laziness. The sloppy HTML and frames will be gone. Gone, I say! Oh, and the wonderfully concise code and functionality that will replace them! The new features, content, colors! Friends, the future will be bright.

Until then, please amuse yourselves with our latest offerings, brought to you by Stet Villchicko, Pete Dalkner and Matt Sutter:

Deadbeat Pete makes the leap from crude drawing to crude animation (Animated Amalgamation and You Make the Call), Amazatronicis dreams in 8-bit, MAN saves the day in Harbinger of Hope, Why Am I Comfortable? blows the lid off the mystery of pleasure, Misconstruction advocates the death penalty, and Suppertime...well, just watch Suppertime.

When you've had your fill of that stuff, go check out Quadruped, a new and innovative Flash site created by members of BREDSTIK and Bearskinrug.

We'll see you on the other side. Sooner than later.
